Acupuncture is my favourite. It’s often simple and quick to do and the results can be instaneous or just a matter of hours.
It has also stood the test of time, having been recorded in China more than 2000 years ago, this health method has become a well refined health modality.
It involves tapping sterile (and single use) needles into the skin at specific points (called acupoints) in order to stimulate them in a certain way. In so doing, one can stimulate the energy of the meridian that the acupoint lays on and encourage movement of blockage and therefor promote the good regular flow of Qi and Blood through the body.
Acupoints are selected not just based on their local area of influence but on a whole variety of theories. The organ relationships of the body play a huge role in how one should support and heal a body in disharmony. The spleen is the mother of the lungs for example, according to the generating cycle of the Five Elements, and so in weak lung cases, it is often appropriate to use the energy of the Spleen to help supplement that of the weakened Lung. Acupoints can warm, move, cool, hold, soothe, invigorate, purge, downward descend and so much more. The art is in the combination that’s just perfect for you..
Why not experience acupuncture for yourself?
